Site News (April 2006)
A new update of the program has been released. A new feature has been added which deals specifically with English Poll Books and Electoral Registers. These are useful for keeping track of families whereabouts in between Censuses, as well as before Censuses were introduced. Note that they will only show eligible voters.
Poll Books were published as needed between 1696 and 1871. These books showed who each person voted for. Electoral Registers were introduced in 1872 along with the secret ballot.

Introducing The Precision Genealogical Tools Chronicle: An overview of various genealogical topics where Precision Genealogical Tools aims to make research easier.
New page added to the site On The Road. Changes to the website haven't been made lately: reason is that I am working on the next release, which should be available to purchase at Bracknell next Sunday.
As the program is now 14.8Mb in size with all the extra trimmings, I have created a cut-down version which is less than half the size. Decide which one you wish to Download, then come back later for the Sample data.
Happy New Year. There is a new version of the program available to download. The Census Place and Census Person menus have been amalgamated into one menu called Census. The full version of the program allows the Linkage of Census Household members to their Birth records (and gives the ability to quickly create the Birth records if they do not exist).
The Buy button was broken, that's hopefully now been fixed.
I have produced a Birth Calendar which shows who was born or married On This Day. If you wish to give someone who is into Genealogy a worthwhile Christmas present then buy PGT using the Buy link (at the top of the Home Page) along with these details (1) first name of who the program is For (2) their email address (3) who the present is From. Put this in the Paypal Notes box and I will send them a tailored Link to the download showing who it is from - you will receive copies of the correspondence.
This site is now over 1Gb in size. To find what you want more quickly, use the Google Search facility on the Home Page.
Want to find this site again? What was the name of it? Precision geonology? genology? geanology? geneology? geonalogy? Do not despair, just remember www.pgt123.com.
Another Flash Tutorial has been added which shows step by step what's involved in Downloading and Installing the program, and a new update to the program is available to Download. Any problems downloading, please let me know. The program Help has been expanded to describe what needs to be filled in for most of the Fields in the program.
The Royals Indexes and PDF files have been refreshed using the PGT program to do the File Transfer. Statistics: The Indexes and PDF's consist of 10,905 files, 783Mb in size... and it all transferred in one go without error. The Evaluation message on the PDF's has now been removed.
View Min View Max Tutorial. Another Tutorial has been added. This one shows how the program tries to make sense of the dates of events that have not been explicitly defined. This facility is available through the View Min and View Max buttons.
New version of software is available to download. There is now a repair facility for instances where data has become corrupt (due to the pc shutting down prematurely, etc.).
Added a section where Errors in the Royal Genealogy GED can be discussed and corrected. The results of these corrections will be posted on the site in due course. It is important that Index pages are refreshed on every visit because the revised PDF data will have a different filename.
More Flash Tutorials.
I've recorded a Quick Tour of the basic framework of the program. You may additionally need to download a Flash Plug-In. Your browser will complain if it is not properly equipped to display this. If you are on a dial-up connection you will be able to make a cup of tea while it downloads. I've also made some minor tweaks to the program.
New page added which shows how to go about researching a family tree from scratch using Precision Genealogical Tools. This uses the tree William James Chamberlain/Alice Louisa Webster as an example.
New build of software uploaded that has the additional capability for purchasers of the software to archive web pages "as is" that are relevant to their research. Note that certain websites have features which prevent this from working.
Added in Family Trees Submitted by Users section. If you wish to share your research with others, this is a good way to do so.
All Certificates and Diaries have now been uploaded. All of the Surname Indexes are active. There are a number of Page Not Found messages which will be eradicated over the next few days.
Royal Genealogical data is currently being uploaded to the site, look out for links appearing over the next few days on the Royal Genealogy section of the site. Note that this is to demonstrate the effectiveness of Precision Genealogical Tools at interpreting voluminous data. The program is for you to develop your own Family Tree.
New download available. Fixes a couple of glitches when the program is first started.
The links to samples on this site were asking for passwords - a problem I thought I had already overcome. Anyway, samples can now be downloaded without you being asked for User Name or Password.
